I was about 13 years old when I saw this movie. It was actually a field trip from school. I am not quiet sure why the pious nuns of my catholic school decided to take us to see it but if their main purpose was to make an impact on our perception of the use of drugs they certainly accomplished their goal. This cautionary tale is based on the real-life story of Vera Christiane Felscherinow. Christiane F, was adapted from a popular biography that tell us the story of a young heroin addict and prostitute in late '70s in West Berlin. This film introduce me to my favorite artist of all times: David Bowie, who composed the soundtrack and makes a cameo appearance in the film.
